Our Impact

The Bronx Community Foundation’s goal when investing resources is always measurable and has meaningful results. We are incredibly proud of the positive impact we’ve had, with our partners. We are Bronx Strong and the future is bright!

On-the-ground operations and partnerships are already in place and the funds are being effectively deployed through the Foundation, and through/with other partners, as follows across the eight areas of need:
Food Security

Working with organizations such as BronxWorks, New York Common Pantry, Rap4Bronx, Bronx Private Industry Council, World Central Kitchen, Bronx Impact and many local restaurants, pantries, and Community Fridges we delivered over 2.5 million meals, 1,800+ grocery bags per week to families, and more than 29,000 lb. of fresh produce.
Housing Stability

Working with many Affordable Housing and Community Development Corporations we provided Technical Assistance and grant funding to support continued operations as well as microgrant funding to support affordable housing residents.

Health

Working with Montefiore, St. Barnabas Hospital, NYC Health in Hospitals and other Bronx based hospitals we provided over 1,000,000 masks, visors, gloves and other protective gear to our frontline / health care workers and residents.

Education, Connectivity and Technology Gaps

Working with DreamYard, Per Scholas, THE POINT, NYC Department of Education, CUNY, Bronx based schools and many others, we provided over 2,500+ Chromebooks and hotspots, established a community help desk, a tech support hub, and over 500+ related paid virtual internships for students in The Bronx.

Nonprofit Economic Relief

Working with the Hostos Center for Bronx Nonprofits, DreamYard, WHEDco and many local nonprofits, we supported vital community-based operations for nonprofits through providing grants and technical assistance.

Small Business Strength

Working with economic development organizations in The Bronx including several BID’s including the Third Avenue Business Improvement District, we distributed grants to small businesses and provided technical assistance.

Equity & Justice

Working with Bronx Defenders we provided microgrants and we are also working on a participatory defense hub.

Economic Opportunity & Relief

Working with CUNY, Breaking Ground, WHEDCo, Bronx Pro, and others we distributed $250 – $750 microgrants to over 2,000 individuals in crisis.
